Long weekend, especially for Poms

Well, feel I should write something to keep this ticking over.

Back at work after a long weekend that saw the Kiwis slaughter the "world champion" Poms in Rugby (YAY!) and the French rip the Pom's heart out in the last 90 seconds in the football (soccer) (YAY!).

In other news, Australian Rugby seems to be in safe, yet boring-as-mud hands under Eddie Jones. Our defence is good (as always) and Jones is certainly a great tactitian, but we don't have the flair of the Kiwis. Probably for the best, even if it means watching the Kiwis play is more entertaining. The Saffies looked more interested in playing Rugby than the Irish in their game, and got the result. Next week will be interesting, as Ireland might actually show up.

A quick kudos to the Greek soccer team for proving everyone (including most Greeks) wrong by beating Portugal.

And let me just say:

The kiwis slaughtered them again the next week and we Aussie handed their arse to them the week after that.

However, the Greek, who I was praising, knocked my beloved French team out in the Quater Finals of the Euro 2004 comp. So kudos again, you bastards.
