Slow news day until now:

I AM AN ADULTESCANT - Advertisers have found that more and more 20-30 year olds are staying adolescant by staying at home and not settling down. This proves one thing. Advertisers are idiots. But, beyond that, allow me to retort; Settling down is a goal we have. We live at home as our borrowing power means we cannot get a mortgage. We value a career. People my age job-hop when it is clear there are no prospects of promotion. With no promotion, there is no raise of income. With no raise of income, there is no prospect of getting a mortgage. We defer commitment to marriage as we don't earn enough to provide a good living for our family. We don't even have enough money to keep a relationship together, as money worries are the primary cause of relationship failure.

Apart from that, everything else is true. Oh, and we don't watch television because the programs on TV are CRAP. When you pander to the lowest common demoninator, you lose the people who want substance. We turn to the internet as we can choose the level of sophistication.

Well, that turned out to be a rant. Anyhoo...

Here's what Dubya thinks. Channel 10 will no doubt see this as the kind of speech 20-30 year olds agree with. God help us, if that is the case. Second rate propaganda, Bush, sub-standard. You could replace America with Al-Quaeda and Iraq with America in this speech and it would still hold true. Hire someone to write a speech that is clever, and you may win the election without having to cheat.

Actually, on that note, I hate to give you a leg up, but if things don't go your way, you can always claim that X percent of the votes were cast using a faulty electronic voting system. You would have to assume control of the country until the voting could be independently verified. At that point, I would simply ask Congress for indefinite control of the country until every computer could be checked for malicious code/viruses/assembly language. If any computer in the world is found to have "potentially dangerous code", which includes text editors (which can be used to write viruses), you would have to have them all re-imaged and run the election again. This could take 40 years. The Bush Empire is yours.
