Two Headed Flying Rat

From SMH's Column 8:

Doing some research at North Sydney's Stanton Library this week, John Galbraith of Jervis Bay was amazed to walk out of the building and see a two-headed pigeon on the footpath. Not quite as amazed as the young girl who also saw the bird and screamed. John decided to do some investigating. Taronga Zoo seemed uninterested in a "genetic defect" and a chap from the Liverpool Pigeon Club had heard of such cases but said they tended not to live long. The pigeon John saw was fully grown and, apart from the extra head emerging from its chest, seemed healthy and active. And yes, it could fly. Has anyone else seen North Sydney's Siamese pigeon?
